Kelly M. Lydon
Administrative Assistant & Youth Pride Coordinator

Kelly M. Lydon, an inspired individual, is the administrative assistant to the board and the Youth Pride Coordinator. She began her work as an activist while in high school by starting a gay-straight alliance with help from a grant from the Governors' Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth. She used her grant to host a gay straight alliance convention and social. She has been involved with Youth Pride since 2004 as a Youth Member of the Massachusetts Youth Pride Committee, then as Co-Chair in 2005, to Co-Coordinator in 2006 and Coordinator in 2007. In 2005, Kelly began working directly with the board members of The Friends and helped to organize the Sunny Side-Up Brunch which she later co-chaired in 2006. Kelly continues to organize fund raising events for the organization as well as others in the area. Kelly is an example to the GLBT youth community as she has leveraged the organization’s development opportunities and continues to contribute to the organization and community at increasing higher levels.
