We’re excited to announce our annual Friends of GLBT Youth Club Cafe cocktail benefit!

All proceeds will support our 20th annual MA GLBT Youth Parade (pictured, http://conta.cc/1gSDjm3).

The festival features speakers and entertainment, and most importantly, the health- and safety-related information, organizations and social resources our GLBT youth need.

DATE: Friday, May 9

TIME: 7pm to 9:45 pm

LOCATION: Club Cafe, 209 Columbus Ave, Boston, 02116 – http://www.clubcafe.com

Entertainment and a sense of having made the world a better place will be provided. Full menu, cash bar, karaoke, dancing and lounge area, a silent auction and a raffle included. Come a join us for an evening of good times and paying it forward.

Ironically, this event is 21+.

Club Café is located at the Back Bay station on the Orange Line, or a short walk to the Green Line. Some meter parking available, or park at the Prudential Center and take a short walk. There is also The Renaissance Park Garage at Notheastern University, at 835 Columbus Ave. It is an $8 flat rate from 6 PM on Friday (25 min walk to Club Cafe).

These young people look like they deserve a shot at health, happiness and success!

LGBT youth are at a higher risk for adverse health outcomes compared to their heterosexual counterparts, including being at higher risk for violence and homelessness (data provided by the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth).  According to MA Youth Risk Behavioral Survey data, 9.2 % of MA teens surveyed identified as LGBT or reported same sex activity.
